From the first day of school we begin teaching State Board safety and sanitation standards. These standards are taught throughout the course to ensure students practice the standards with each guest service and continue after the student graduates. Although South Dakota does require a written test for licensing, it does not require a practical testing.
During the course a student is required to pass and complete sets of practical testing prior to completing Protege’. A student is also required to pass assigned practical and written testing prior to completing Final Phase. These assignments must be passed with a 80% or higher grade in order to graduate.
